Hello Hanami, Goodbye Hanami
Shoes off before sitting on the tarpaulin, please.
DJ set up. I wonder how long it took before they were told to turn it off.
Dusty.
One of the "shorter" lines for the bathroom. Although, once in, it was surprisingly clean.
Best spot in the park. PS. Check out the guy in the blue jacket and bowler hat.
Getting carried away.
High touch! (Japanese for "high five")
Homeless man's set up.
Dancing up a (dust) storm.
So many picnics!
Too cute!
Cherry blossom canopy.
Hanami is well and truly over, which is a shame because there’s nothing quite like having a picnic under a blanket of cherry blossoms with about 200,000 other people. Sure the place ends up a massive dust pit in which your shoes will never fully recover from and you have to wait about 30 minutes for the bathroom but I’m really looking forward to next year’s already! It’s definitely a fantastic time to be in Japan.
There are also some more pretty photos of the flowers here.
