Hello.

My husband and I left our lives in Sydney to go travelling for the rest of 2016. What started as a one month honeymoon has turned into a four month adventure.

Day 114: Street Pasta Company

Day 114: Street Pasta Company

A few weeks before this day, a friend of Adam's suggested we check out Street Pasta Company in Yoyogi. It's this little pasta joint (surprise, surprise) that makes their own pasta on site, fresh daily and is run by some guys who are into skating, Supreme and clearly pasta.

This kind of thing is something we're missing in Sydney. Simple, delicious pasta that's inexpensive but still a cool place to eat.

There's a lot going on in the window, but really it's all about pasta.

We chose a Japanese style pasta with roe and seaweed. Sounds crazy but I love this kind of thing and it was really good. Adam is squeezing some lemon on it, in case you were wondering.

A slightly more Italian-style pasta that was actually quite chilli. After months in Italy and Japan I'd really been missing the spice.

Note to you, if you do go to a shop upstairs that sells homewares make sure you take your shoes off before going in. I didn't realise this until the shop assistant had a near panic attack when I walked in with my boots on. I sheepishly took them off and pretended to be interested in the products but all I really wanted to do was leave but needed to at least spend some time in there considering I had a) embarrassed myself and b) spent a bit of time actually taking off my boots.

After getting a bit lost, we found our way back to familiar streets but not before seeing some pretty great homes. Like these.

Kids after school and the last of the autumn leaves. This photo calms me for some reason.

Needing a bit of a pick me up and a thaw me out, we found a cafe and ordered some hot drinks. I love these almost purpose built buildings.

Just off one of the busiest strips in Harajuku is this little sanctuary. There's a tea house (I think) there and spots where you can just sit and escape the craziness that's only 50 metres away.
