Day 44: Another Day, Another Winery
I mean, what else do you do in Chianti besides go to wineries and drink wine?
On the road with our little Fiat 500.
We stopped by a roadside restaurant for a quick lunch before hitting the winery.
Ravioli with ragu. I always feel like you never get enough ravioli in a serving. Even when you buy 250g of say tagliatelle vs 250g of ravioli, you always feel like you get way more from the tagliatelle. Why is that? Is this a ravioli conspiracy?
This idiot thought this exact spot would be a great spot for a photo and didn't even notice the red and white tape.
Rolling hills? Check.
We visited a small winery, Villa Trasqua for a tour and tasting. I loved how friendly and passionate about the product they were. Sadly, we weren't able to buy many wines because we're travelling.
Back in Greve in Chianti at that butcher we kept going to, three lambos pulled up. It was fun to watch people going nuts over the cars. Even the police (just behind) just let them park illegally there.
These guys specialise in tartare so we had to try it at least once. It was pretty intense with the lard and raw egg, but I'm glad we tried it.
