Hello.

My husband and I left our lives in Sydney to go travelling for the rest of 2016. What started as a one month honeymoon has turned into a four month adventure.

Festival in Waseda

Festival in Waseda

Stumbled upon this festival tonight on my way to get some Indian from my local Indian restaurant. I need to find out what this festival was for but I was really happy I came across it. I was also really happy for the chance to get to play with my shiny new camera.

Oh by the way, those traditional looking lanterns are actually company sponsors. I spotted a McDonalds one (written in katakana) and a Mos Burger one. Who’d have thought?

Everyone was dancing to traditional Japanese music. They all knew the dance moves too! I liken it to a Japanese version of the "Nut Bush."
