Hello.

My husband and I left our lives in Sydney to go travelling for the rest of 2016. What started as a one month honeymoon has turned into a four month adventure.

Day 27: Boating Around Capri

Day 27: Boating Around Capri

Another bucket list item ticked off (one of the other ones was eating Napoli pizza in Napoli and I well and truly ticked that one off) – boating around Capri.

We splurged on a private three hour boat tour with Genarro of Capri Rent Boats. He seemed like a fun guy and he also provided water, soft drink, beer and, most importantly, prosecco on the tour. Now, it was meant to rain the entire time we were in Capri, but the Amalfi gods must have been smiling down on us because the weather cleared and it was a near perfect day.

After three wonderful hours of visiting different spots, swimming through caves into secluded beaches and jumping off the boat into clear waters, we headed back to land. It was SO worth breaking our budget and suffering a little bit of post-sun zombie like states for a few hours afterward.

The half eaten breakfast spread at our hotel. Basic but definitely enough to start the day.

Waiting for the bus to the port. This bus gets stupidly busy, so it's suggested you get on one stop before the main stop otherwise you'll never get down to the port.

The ridiculous stretch cabs of Capri. I wish I had taken a better photo of one of these.

See you in three hours, port!

I think Adam could get used to this boating life.

Strategically hiding the belly from a month of eating too many carbs. Hey look, those famous things you see on postcards of Capri!

The guy, Genarro. He could drive the boat with his eyes closed. Or texting on his phone. Both of which he did.

Genarro insisted we get a shot of us kissing with those formations in the background. It's cheesy, but nice to have.

After the boat tour we had a solid nap (the sun really takes it out of you) and then went to get some toasted sandwiches from a place called Toasteria. It was inconveniently closed until 7pm, so we wandered the streets like common hobos trying not to spend money even though it would have been easier to pass the 1.5 hours in a bar or cafe.

We caved.

Toasteria finally opened and we got to eat delicious, delicious toasties. I wonder if this kind of thing would work in Sydney?

Speck, provolone and rocket. Can the rocket count as my daily vegetable intake? I'm severely lacking.

A fried pizza pocket of sorts. This was €2,50 and so good I wish I had about six more.

Stocking up at the grocery store and I came across this baby food. They get them started early in Italy.

And because drinking Spritz isn't enough, here it is in cake form. Oh, and a mojito version too.

And with that, we were beat. Bed by 8.30pm and definitely no wines.
