Hello.

My husband and I left our lives in Sydney to go travelling for the rest of 2016. What started as a one month honeymoon has turned into a four month adventure.

A few things I learnt from this night:

1. Free champagne is good in moderation. Do not make the mistake of drinking it like it’s water.

2. Don’t photograph yourself with models unless you want to look like their short, overexcited friend.

3. Don’t bring your nice make up out with you. I dropped and smashed my Nars blush and completely smooshed my MAC lipstick. Sigh.

These points aside, it was a lot of fun. I met some lovely people including Dan from Tokyo Dandy, hung out with super gorgeous and all round awesome person, Sasha Owen and I got to wear my brand new Dr Denim dress with shoulder pads that I love. All in all a successful night which I paid for dearly the next day.

(I didn’t take the last photo. I am totally kicking myself for not taking a photo of the awesome entrance so I used a photo that Mai Ann Nguyen tweeted – I hope she doesn’t mind!)

Update: For more photos of the evening, check out Sasha Owen Longfellow’s blog post here: http://sashaowen.com/2010/12/04/marc-jacobs-aoyama-ali-baba/ – She’s a good writer and is easy on the eye.
