Hello.

My husband and I left our lives in Sydney to go travelling for the rest of 2016. What started as a one month honeymoon has turned into a four month adventure.

Day 103: Roast Chicken In Tokyo?!

Day 103: Roast Chicken In Tokyo?!

When I think Japan I don't usually think of roast chicken, but that's what we ended up getting tonight. Our friends So and Tiia took us to this roast chicken place in the back streets of Shinjuku. I swear you can find anything you want in these streets.

Brother Shokudo specialise in roast chicken, but also do a bunch of other western dishes as well. And because we were too busy chatting and drinking wine, I forgot to get photos of the place. So this is all you get...

It's hard to make chicken look good but trust me when I say it was. The fries also deserve an honourable mention too.

After dinner we headed to So's Dad's office for some drinks. His place is on a high up floor in Shinjuku so it has some pretty great views. It's also a bit like an apartment so it's pretty easy to hang out there. We ended up watching 90s dance music film clips for hours until we missed our last train. Adam and I ended up getting into a fight (I swear it was bound to happen at some point) so he ended up getting a cab on his own and I ended up trying to walk most of the way home. Which I was partially successful with except when I pretty much near froze near Hatagaya and was forced to put myself in a cab.
