Day 112: Did Someone Say Free Chocolate?!
Behold! We have emerged from our hangover and are now relatively normal people again. There was a time I thought I would never fully recover but we made it.
It was a wonderfully sunny day (though still freezing) so we decided to walk to a restaurant in the next suburb called Bassanova – a cool tsukemen shop in Shindaita.
I like walking around suburban streets and checking out the houses.
Bassanova! I don't think these guys were thrilled about being in my photo.
The guys are Bassanova are famous for their green curry tsukemen. Whiiiich I feel like I should have know about before ordering.
Adam and I just got regular tsukemen, which was really, really good. But I can't help to think what the green curry one would have been like.
Dat chashu.
Yes, yes, yes.
They offer bibs so you don't get soup splashes on your clothes.
With only a few days left we headed into Shibuya to do some last minute Christmas shopping. In hindsight this coffee cup garbage bin would have been a great addition to our future study.
In Cat Street there was a Ferrero Rocher activation. It looked a bit daunting to walk in but there was someone out front offering free chocolate and ushering people in so we thought why not?
We entered this super dark space where we were lead down some stairs into a dark room. We were instructed to place our chocolates (which we'd already eaten... oops) onto this sculpture and then the whole room started to sparkle.
Upstairs you could order Ferrero chocolate cocktails (we had no cash so no dice for us) and had various Ferrero themed decorations.
I always wonder how much these activations must cost.
