Day 111: Merry Scam-mas!
Oh dear lord the hangover. Just when I think I've had the worst hangover of the trip, another one storms in and confidently takes its place. Enter this morning, AKA the worst hangover of the trip.
I'd been looking forward to this Christmas party for a few weeks now and was devastated that I was almost too hungover to function. After nearly cancelling, Adam and I dragged our sorry selves to the early dinner mere shells of humans.
We headed to the fanciest La Pausa (a cheap Italian-themed chain restaurant) in Shinjuku. It's inexpensive but has some of the best views in town.
Can't beat these views. And with all you can eat and drink for about ¥3500 it's a bargain.
We weren't the greatest of conversationalists that night. To the poor folk seated at our table, I apologise.
Tom and Gordon organised the dinner as well as a Secret Santa where we had to pass the presents around the table pass-the-parcel style and when Rudy The Big Booty Reindeer stopped that was the present we were assigned. We took turns to open the present and had to openly insult it, which most of us did a poor job of. I ended up with some Thai ingredients and Adam got a bottle of sparkling. The guy who got my toilet basketball ring was actually quite pleased, so that was a win.
The pizzas have actually improved over the years.
Japanese fortunes.
After dinner there was a lot of hanging about wondering what to do next. I could barely think so the next stop for us was bed.
Merry Scam-mas!
This was the name of the event so I'm aware this probably makes sense to very few people.
Pastel prettiness on the way to the station and more importantly, on the way to BED.
