Day 86: A-a-a-afuri!
The day started with a job interview over the phone which, forgetting about the time difference between Tokyo and Sydney, accidentally made for 7.30am Tokyo time. So it was an early start for me which after travelling for three and a half months I'm still not used to. After the interview we headed out to Ebisu for some delicious Afuri ramen goodness.
It's so easy to go days without eating a single piece of fruit or some veggies. Honey's Bar was at Ebisu station so I picked up a green juice which I just hope had some actual veggies in it.
The Ebisu Afuri is waaaayyy more quiet than the Harajuku one so we didn't have to wait at all.
Tsukemen is one of my favourite things and the Afuri ramen version with yuzu is light and fresh. The pork was kinda fatty, but I still love this ramen.
After lunch we wandered to Daikanyama for some Starbucks (I swear I only seem to drink Starbucks in Japan and I love the seasonal flavours). Today's flavour was gingerbread which was good but not as amazing at the snow pecan nut one going around.
How is it nearly winter? We are wearing t-shirts!
After some window shopping we headed back home for some cheap and healthy home made nabe and Terrace House.
A bit of Surry Hills in Tokyo!
If I could work out a way to avoid having to battle the crowds at Shibuya most days I would.
Big news, guys! Meidaimae has a brand new vending machine. What a time to be alive.
Aaaand Terrace House. A very critical scene is going on right here.
