Day 92: Pizza And Miscommunication

Japan seems to have a lot of public holidays. Today was one of them which means mid-week hangs with people who are gainfully employed. We met with Lani and Tsubasa at this fairly new pizza place in Shimokita called Guerrero (Lani always knows the good spots).

Slightly misshapen but still very delicious. They know how to do a Napoli pizza right in Japan.

Tsubasa and Lani have both lived in Australia but are now living in Tokyo.

After lunch we headed to Nakameguro as a friend has a bar there called Berry. Because we are old and the concept of a bar opening at 10pm is completely foreign to us we turned up there at 7pm and it was completely closed. Boo.

We ended up walking around Nakame for a while in the freezing cold before giving up and going to meet our reliable friend So in Hatagaya for dinner.

So took us to this Chinese restaurant where everything was ¥300. Not bad!

With dinner and getting photos with giant yakitori out of the way, we went to So's house, drank whisky and watched YouTube videos until late. 

As usual, my reward for staying out late is food so tonight I treated myself to a "pizza sando" with ham and cheese. I'm such a sucker for these.
