Day 93: Snow Day!
Holy hell, where did this snow come from?! The forecast said snow but I didn't think it would actually snow. We woke up kind of late in the morning and it was still snowing like crazy. Yesssss! Snow day!
We piled on as many layers as possible and rushed out to try and get some photos of the cold white stuff.
Adam needed to do some shopping in Kichijoji so we thought it would be a great idea to go to Inokashira Park and take photos of the snow. It would have been a better idea if we had warmer clothes because we were clearly not dressed for the weather.
Exhibit A. Don't worry, I am wearing thermal tights under my jeans.
Adam is probably saying something along the lines of "Phi, I can't feel my hands. Can we get lunch now?"
My most probable response: "Shut up Adam and take a photo of me with the snow."
Just down the road from the park was a burger place called Crown House. It's actually owned by the Freshness Burger chain but does more premium burgers and looks more like an individually owned burger shop. We needed to defrost from the cold so burgers in the warmth seemed like a good idea.
Looks like a proper burger, no? Pretty good for a chain store. Shout outs to the potatoes from Hokkaido too.
The walk back to the station.
We were meant to meet some friends who were in Tokyo from Sydney but it was so cold I couldn't bear to leave the house again. The only thing I was going to do was eat this glorious soy milk nabe and watch Terrace House (surprise, surprise).
Team cosy.
