Hello.

My husband and I left our lives in Sydney to go travelling for the rest of 2016. What started as a one month honeymoon has turned into a four month adventure.

Day 24: Cloudy With A Chance Of Spritz

Day 24: Cloudy With A Chance Of Spritz

The idea that it might actually rain in the Amalfi did not cross my mind at all. Adam and I decided to check out Positano so pre-bought our bus tickets and waited at the bus stop. And then we waited some more. And some more. About 40 minutes later, a bus showed up packed full of tourists who, like us, were trying to get to Positano.

I don't think this road was ever intended for large coaches to travel on, let alone in both directions, so the road to Positano was filled with stops, reversing, some yelling in Italian and lots of horn honking. All this was too much for Adam who needed to jump off about 20 minutes into the trip siting "bathroom issues", leaving us very much not in Positano and very much still in Praiano. And then it began to rain. We walked home frustrated, in silence and not ready to tackle the SITA bus any time soon.

We picked up some supplies (and lots of booze) from the grocery store and watched the rains from our balcony. Before we knew it, the sun was back out and so too were our guns, which are getting browner by the day.

Making the most of a cloudy situation. Also, Adam stepped on my toe this morning which somehow managed to remove the gel nail polish from one toe. Good one, Bozzetto.

There are grapes hanging off the vines and I'm pretty sure you can eat these grapes at breakfast.

Aperol + prosecco = a good afternoon.

And some snacks...

I dragged Adam off his butt to come watch the sunset with me. This (obviously) isn't the sunset, but looking back toward our hotel.

Sunset smiles. My eye is still recovering from this strange and unpleasant bout of puffiness which left me looking like Quasi Modo for most of the day. Just what you want then you're on your honeymoon.

Good bye to another day on the Amalfi.

Good bye to another day on the Amalfi.

We ended up just eating sandwiches and relaxing in the hotel that evening, which was pretty nice.

There ended up being a huge storm with tonnes of lightning and some pretty crazy rains, which made for some great entertainment. Storms are awesome, especially when you're not walking or driving in them.

Tomorrow we are FINALLY going to go to Positano where we've booked a few lounge chairs at a beach club that's accessible by boat. Can't wait.
