Day 25: Beach Club
Our last full day in Amalfi! We decided to try and get to Positano again after yesterday's failed efforts. After successfully getting the local bus, we made our way down to the port only to find out our transfer to the beach club was cancelled due to rough seas.
We had two options. Walk to the beach club or go to another beach club. We went with option two, but after they rejected a group of older travellers for being "too old to get the boat safely" and the prospect of a full boat, we ended up walking to the original beach club: Bagni d'Arienzo where we spent all day sunning, drinking and eating pasta. God I love Italy.
The hotel pool on the way to breakfast. Seriously, this place is heaven.
Just some folks waiting for a bus that may or may not come.
La Praia – the closest beach to our hotel.
Adam on the bus before it got uncomfortably full.
Traffic jam.
Made it to Positano (finally)!
Trying to act casual about the whole thing.
Memo: wear white.
Us: ON IT.
Bagni D'Arienzo.
Adam booked this beach club in the day before because I really wanted to go to a beach club or restaurant that you could get to by boat. Unfortunately the water was too rough we couldn't get a boat over so had to walk about 30 minutes from Positano to get there. To say thanks they gave us a welcome prosecco. Very welcome indeed.
Salsiccia or legs?
This pose says: "Welcome to my private beach"
Beach set up.
Somewhere out there Adam is on a lilo.
Somewhere out there Adam got stung by a Medusa jellyfish.
How Adam does "sun baking".
A frozen margarita for me.
Not your usual beach scene.
Sooooo many stairs to get to the bus stop. Our butts are harder than day old bread.
Not a bad spot to wait for a bus.
Onwards!
