Day 16: Goodbye America!

Today was always going to be a struggle. A 10.20am flight from New Orleans to LA, then a stopover in LA for seven hours followed by an eleven hour flight to Zurich and then onto Rome. Ugh. 

We decided to use our seven hours in LA wisely and go see Susan, Trey and Sydney one last time (and to get a last minute taco fix). Sure it took a hour each way and X dollars in an Uber, but it was worth it to see them.

Sadly this is the best photo Susan and I got together.

I was disappointed I didn't get Umami Burger this trip... And then there was one at the airport! It ain't pretty but it was so good.

Onto Italy!
