Day 116: So The Enabler
Poor Vivian. She caught a stomach bug on the day we were planning on having a girls afternoon. We had plans to get coffee and our nails done but sadly she was too sick to leave the house so I had to go solo.
Going to my usual place – Fast Nail – I strategically chose a manicure that would grow out easily because I was heading back home in a few days. After the unsurprising panic on the exact colour, I made a hasty decision to choose peach with a glitter line which ended up looking a little too girly for my liking. Damn it.
Tokyu Food Show in Shibuya now has a place for you to eat your snacks, which is so much better than before. I got this katsu sando for a snack but I should have stuck with Maisen.
Adam and So had been at Boat Race so we met up after they got back into town for some pre-dinner drinks.
This bar is a few minutes walk from the craziness that is Shibuya. I like it here.
Walking down the streets of Yoyohi.
We jumped on a train and headed to Shimokita for some yakiniku. People can be so freaked out by tongue but they are missing out.
Chef So on the grill.
Yakitori satisfaction.
They say that a couple who grills together, stays together. Well, they don't but they should.
Grillin' that onigiri.
Brushin' that onigiri.
Basketball showdown. This actually took a lot of energy and while Adam won, I wasn't too far behind.
Punching game. I was terrible. Adam wasn't much better. So kicked our butts.
Car game. I am not 100% sure what's happening here.
We then went to have rum and milk at this tiny hidden bar. You have to walk up a few flights of stairs to get there. I sometimes wonder how these places stay open. Oh, and why rum and milk? It's this bar's specialty. And you know what? They were amazing.
I have a feeling this guy sleeps in his bar.
And because we weren't done, we ended up at a shisha bar. I've never done it before but it was actually pretty fun. We chose some different flavoured tobacco and hung out there for a few hours.
Cosy little shisha bar.
I love these nights. You never know where you're going to end up.
